When you place your order, you can indicate where we can leave the box or whether we can deliver it to your neighbours. Remember: the faster the fish is cooled, the better. We cannot guarantee freshness if the box is left outside for too long.

About our fish box
'Ready to cook' means that the fish has been cleaned in such a way that you can prepare it directly. The way we do this differs per type of fish:
- Round fish such as cod and sea bass are completely filleted and deboned
- Flatfish such as sole and turbot are cleaned but not filleted, as this would affect the taste and structure of the fish. These fish have a special bone structure that is best appreciated when prepared whole
- We remove the entrails from all fish and clean the fish completely
- Where necessary we descale the fish
We ensure that you can start preparing the fish straight away, without having to clean or fillet it extensively.

We pay attention to four important aspects of sustainability:
- Catch methods: We choose techniques such as Sumwing and Flyshoot. These methods are more selective and have less impact on the seabed.
- Type of vessels: We like to work with innovative fishing vessels, such as the MDV2 - an electrically powered vessel that uses up to 80% less fuel than traditional fishing boats.
- Seasonal fish: We respect the natural cycle of fish. This means that we do not catch fish during spawning or when they have roe. This is not only better for the fish stock, but also ensures better quality - fish that has roe or has just had roe is less tasty.
- Local origin: We consciously choose fish from the North Sea and the IJsselmeer. This fish literally swims along our coast and does not have to travel long distances before it ends up on your plate. In this way, we not only reduce our ecological footprint, but also guarantee the ultimate freshness of our fish.
This four-pronged approach of sustainable fishing methods, modern vessels, respect for the season and local origin not only reduces the environmental impact, but also produces top-quality fish.

Our fish is very fresh, which makes it suitable for raw consumption in principle. However, because it remains a fresh product, we cannot give specific advice on this.
